I've actually sewn something!

Well, I know I've sewn two mundane skirts in so many days, but now I have actually sewn on my Tudor dress. I have dreaded it, because the fabric is a rayon twill that is the slinkiest fabric I've ever worked with except for silk twill which is just the same. That's the reason I'm using it, it looks very much like silk twill which I have worked with before.
But I have made the bodice except for the plastron and that was the hardest part, the slinkiness of the fabric won't that much of a problem when I sew the skirt.
Today is devoted to going through our storage area and find larger winter clothes for Maja, my old black tulle skirt and some other stuff. Since the room is packed high with boxes, pavilion, wooden chests etc it will probably take most of the day. But I will try to cut and zig-zag the skirt too.

No skirt cut today, but skirts were found

I got a surprise visit from some friends so no skirt cutting today. At least not yet, maybe after Maja has gone to bed.
When we went through our storage room we however found not only winter clothes for Maja but also the box with the skirts I had packed away when I got too fat for them. But now I can actually close most of them. Some are definitely too tight to be comfortable while four are okay. It wouldn't hurt if I got a little thinner, but since I plan to loose those 6 pounds I have gained since summer I think that will be enough. Most of all I would like to be able to wear a red tartan miniskirt. I can get into it, but the material is stretchy and shows off my soft round belly all too well. But when I loose those pounds...it will look great, it looked great with my sky blue M43s. I also found a rather short gathered skirt in black lace with a black underskirt that I bought in London in 1984. It still looks good.

I am very tired though, I didn't take any ibuprofen yesterday since I really shouldn't while nursing (they know it pass over to the milk but haven't found any effects but there isn't enough studies), and it's showing directly, it took me over an hour to become human this morning.
