Nylöse choir
Aug. 21st, 2006 10:38 pmI just came home from the Nylöse choir practice and it feels so good. There were only five of us; and I was late because I had forgotten about it. We tried a new song (I mean new for us) Edi beo thu heavene quene. The music was pretty straightforward, but the text is in Middle English which takes some practice and much consultation of Singing Early Music. Then we sung some songs we haven't practiced for over a year: Amatemi ben mio and Ave vera virginitas and we even had a go at Thus saith my Chloris bright which we never really perfected. It went surprisingly well. I was especially happy to be able to sing the soprano without
haugtussa's support.
