My mother's 60th birthday
Aug. 22nd, 2006 09:48 amMonday a week ago was my mother's 60th birthday. This means that the day after we got back from Visby, at around 9 p.m, at 2 p.m we went by train to Trollhättan, about 90 kilometres away, to see her and my brother and his girlfriend and my sister and her fiancé. Before that I had spent three frantic hours at work, trying to get a lecture on 12th century dress together.
But once we got to the train station there was no stress and it was really nice at my mother's place. We had dinner and dessert and talked a lot. It was also the first time I met my brother's new girlfriend. Around ten my sister's fiancé Mattias and Rickard went to get his brother's car and then they picked us up and Rickard drove us home under Mattias' supervision.
Anyway, this post is just an excuse to show you a photo of my mother and all her children and grandchildren, taken at the birthday party.

Her birthday present was a gift certificate for a ride with a hot air balloon; she's always wanted to do that.
