Insects are currently divided into three categories: ants, worms and snails. Ants was the first category, which also encompassed worm for a while. Now ants are pretty much ants and worms are worms, btu all other insects/spiders etc are snails. So there are now two snails, also known as daddy-long-legs, flying around in our bedroom. Presumably the yellow, furry hunter will get to them eventually, but they're very tricky these snails, hiding in the ceiling.

When my eldest daughter was about 3 she wasn't very keen on bugs/worms etc so I explained to her wonderful they were and that they all played a part in the great circle of life. Half an hour later I found her kissing worms and telling them she loved them.
