I want to get away

My friend Annaa is in Ireland right now; I wish I was with her. There is something, probably the fact that I'm unemployed and that my body isn't being nice at all, that makes me want to just get away from here. Get away to do something else.
I have felt restless ever since I finished my PhD and now I just want to do something, move on, have some change!
Or at least go away for a week.

I'm 1/4 through on the hem on the hand sewn kirtle. The hem and lacing holes is all that remains now. It seems to be a little shorter in the bodice than planned, makes me think early 16th c german or so. On the other hand, since my torso is so long it will probably just make me look more proportional. But for me it looks weird of course, I'm used to my body.

Shoe lust (again)

I would love to own these. But they only have them in size 11 (US) and I have a size 9-9,5 (39,5-40 European). I'm not crazy about the wedge heel, but I would love shoes with heels in tartan and with round toes and a 1920s-1940s style. Not open toes, I hate that and my feet don't look that well either.
