I had a lovely day yesterday with first my mum visiting and then [livejournal.com profile] myralea and her boyfriend T, who I've known for years and don't get to see often enough, and [livejournal.com profile] herzeloyde. Myra knitted on T's icelandic sweater, Anna was busy repairing the pearl embroidery on her 1910-1930 bolero and I actually managed to fell two seams on my silk 16th century petticoat.
And we talked and talked.
Maja was better, but still not well. She ate very little and sometimes complained of tummy ache. But mostly she was happy or slept. We decided to keep her home today and tomorrow too, which means that I have to bring my computer to the university and work there if I want to get something done. Rickard is free today and tomorrow because he worked the whole weekend.

And [livejournal.com profile] haugtussa called, which made me very happy. Unfortunately she wanted to know things about Marianne Vedeler's dissertation (I mentioned it some posts ago), and I have only read the introductory chapters yet. Reading more of that book is on my to-do list for today.

Spring came today. It has been lurking for weeks, with birds singing and light skies, but today it was 11 C (53F) in the shadows, and even warmer in the sun and the winds were mild. I walked to the university in the sun and felt so good. I also looked pretty good; newly dyed hair (just a little darker than my natural colour), the new purple shoes, purple tights, a finely pleated teal skirt, a plum top, a nice teal jacket I have gotten from [livejournal.com profile] herzeloyde and a plum coloured velvet beret with a bow. I may have gone a little overboard with the colour matching there, but I tell you: I looked really spiffy.
