herzeloyde has been absolutely wonderful. She has read several versions of the application and she held my hand (metaphorically speaking) while I filled in the big and rather complicated on-line form.
Now I've been to see the head of the department where I want to place this project if I get money and he's signed a form that they approve of it. This form and two copies of my dissertation was then put in an envelope that I posted 15 minutes ago.
So. That was that. Now we wait. I think it's in May they will tell us if we get any money.
Tomorrow I need to make a short application for funding so that I can go to a conference in Iceland in October, about gender in the Middle Ages. It's due on Monday.
