An update on life

I haven't written much lately. Mainly because I've been so busy and nothing really exciting has happened in my life. Good things, but not exciting. herzeloyde and I have been studying/working together for a couple of days and I feel ready with my application for a post-doctoral position, which is due on Monday. I don't feel ready at all with the big 15 pages application to Riksbankens Jubileumsfond, but I've done some reading and will start writing in earnest next week.

Yesterday bippimalin were here. Mainly to look at Moda a Firenze, but there was quite a lot of talking and tea drinking too. I feel that I talked too much myself though.

Today Vendela and Valeria's school and Maja's preschool are closed, so I can't work even if I need to. Instead we're going to a park to have a picnic later. Right now I'm the only one awake (except for Rickard, who's at work).

Much to my own surprise I have actually made a page about Rickard's new 16th century outfit. Go see! He really is that handsome.

Yes, he is certainly deluded. I've bowled twice in my life. The first time at my own hen night and the other at my best friend Inger's. While I don't suck totally I am very far from being good at bowling.

Patterning

Thanks to herzeloyde being here, trying to study, I pushed myself into actually making a bodice pattern for the 1950s-inspired dress I'm going to wear at my sister's wedding party. I had finished Maja's clothes for the wedding and I needed somethign to do. It turned out that Maja's hose from last year still fit, so I don't have to make new hose before next weekend, when I hope armillary will take us to a viking market. We were there last year and it was kind of nice; having a pic-nic in the sun and meeting people. (Last year's photos are here). Unless she mysteriously stops growing they will not fit for Visby in August, however, so I will have to make a couple of pairs before then. And possibly new shoes, though they also fit fine now.
