Blackwork embroidery archives (http://www.blackworkarchives.com/). They're not copies of period patterns, but they look good. And the woman (http://home.earthlink.net/~pkmarmor/) who made them is crazy about Tolkien's languages, so she must be really cool, right?

Oh, very pretty! Thanks for the link. I think there's a lot to be said for slight-but-plausible deviations from period patterns. I like to have a bit of my own personality in the clothing I make.
