Yay!

I just got this pattern in the mail. It was a gift from ashariel and I'm really grateful. Now I have to find time to squeeze it into my rather full spring sewing schedule. Well, the weather doesn't inspire to dresses yet anyway; I think I can fit it in in April or so.

This made my day so much better: my back is hurting so much that it is hard for me to get any work done, but I have to anyway, since I have so many brand new lectures to prepare now and so little time to do it in, but a 1940s vintage pattern always cheer you up. Especially if it's actually in your size, which this one is.

At least it's sunny outside and I can hear my husband sing along to New Order. I love that.
If only my back could stop being this stupid.

Darn!

The kids came unexpectedly home early from school. While it is very nice to meet them when I haven't seen them for almost a week it destroyed my plans for he afternoon; which involved me and my husband and definitely no kids at home.

Well, I guess we can always go with the paper to the recycling station instead.

Not social at all

"Thanks" to my intense work load and my sucky body I am rapidly reaching a stage that think of as the last step before exhaustion depression (I have no idea if it's called that in english, but that's what it's called in swedish). Anyway: I am exhausted and somewhat depressed. I have ways of coping with this but they include cutting off all demands that aren't strictly necessary (work, family - and thanks to Rickard I can cut off some of those demands too); and yes, social contacts counts as demands too. This means that I do not have the energy to socialize with people. The exception is, sometimes, herzeloyde since we don't really do things together; we just sit and drink tea and watch the same film/look in the same magazines etc. But when it gets this bad I don't have much time for that either, because I work late in the evenings too.

I will resurface in the middle of February hopefully. And then in the middle of March I will dive into another of these crazy periods.
