Thanks everybody for the help with interpreting the painting i Showed yesterday. It's labeled
"from the school of Lucas Cranach the Elder", and , as you can se eon the picture, from 1525. I have a dress based on this painting, made ten years ago when I wasn't as good as I am now obviously, but still good enough to wear - I just need to make the gollar, the possible inner gollar and new headwear. I have now shortened the dress, since at the time I still made my renaissance dresses "medieval", i. e. long enough to drag the floor. It took a long time to accept deep inside that renaissance dresses weren't as long as most medieval. I think I want to add some boning to the bodice too, but we'll se what I'll do.

Obviously inspired by Alexander McQueen's fall collection.

I need to make a buttonhole an sew the button, but otherwise it is finished. I love having a supply of zippers in the colours I use most at home.

I hope your flight doesn't leave too early on Saturday, because I'm getting more and more in the mood for a wild night out on Friday.

I've made a skirt for myself, cake, done some laundry and ironing and now I'm making a pattern for a 16th century jacket for Valeria.
