frualeydis: (18th century)
Thanks to me finishing my checked skirt the other day, so that I could work on other things, and thanks to [livejournal.com profile] bippimalin coming over for tea and crafting yesterday my new 18th century stays are finished now.

Tomorrow I'm going to Stockholm for four days, to have a look at sumptuary legislation from the 17th and 18th centuries. I don't handel traveling well: I get all stressed up and moody and downright depressed before leaving - once I'm on the way I'm just fine. An added stress factor is that I've never been to the Royal Library before and I'm afraid I will turn out looking like an idiot because I don't understand the way they work. They have been very helpful over the internet, but I have already made many mistakes because I didn't understand their catalogue.
If I manage this I will probably have a swell time; I'm staying with my old friend Annaa (swedish blog) and there will probably be lots of beer and talking and on thursday we're going to watch the fashion show at the design school her daughter goes to. I also plan to see the current exhibition on the Pre-Raphaelites at the National Museum. But I just have to get on the train and then to the library first.
