An era is over

At least in our small family circle. Yesterday the last member of my "grandmother/grandfather generation" died. It wasn't my grandfather, but the grandfather of my half sister, but since my mum and anders (my sister's dad) started being together in 1976 or -77 Hugo has been a part of my life for a long time, especially since our house was just on the other side of the barn from his house. Hugo was a nice person, someone who was nice to be with, doing things together. The last five years he had been rather ill and lately also forgetful and sometimes confused, which isn't strange since he was born in 1911. I haven't seen him often since I moved away from home, maybe once or twice a year, but it still feels sad and weird that he isn't there anymore. I also feel very sorry for my step dad, who really is the "parent" I like best (not that I don't like my mum and dad, but I have a more relaxed relation and more fun with my step dad).
I need to find out when the funeral will be.

Tablet weaving finished

It's neither complicated nor perfect, but I think it looks pretty good. Hopefully it will be suitable for the intended recipient too.




I't about three metres and haugtussa and I dyed the silk yarn together a couple of years ago.
