Varshons

I was going to write about something else, but I forgot what, so I'll write about the (reasonably) new cover album by the Lemonheads, called Varshons. It may be that I just love Evan Dando's deep, sensitive voice, but it really is good and since he has rather eclectic musical taste I also get to hear quite a lot of songs I've never heard before. I could have lived without "Dirty Robot" with Kate Moss though.

1930s

I bought some pattern magazines from 1930 and 1931, which arrived yesterday. It is definitely a style that won't suit me, but I bought them mainly for teaching purposes. The front covers can be seen at my swedish blog.

Skirt assembly line

Today I have cut out three skirts, sewed one of them and hemmed it (but forgot put pockets in the side seams so I will have to pick up some of the seams) and partly sewed another one, this time with pockets in the side. Contrary to what I thought it wasn't more fun to do many at a time, but possibly more effective. Tomorrow I will buy lining and zippers.

Oh, and what I ought to have done is worked on Valeria's bliaut that I'm making for an event the 18th-20th.
