A trip out in the archipelago
Jul. 28th, 2012 10:17 amOn of mine and Rickard's old friends have moved to Stockholm (8 years ago or something) so we don't see each other that often. His mother, however, has a house on one of the islands in the Gothenburg's southern archipelago and a week every summer he and his family stays there. We do not manage to go there every year, but this year we did and it was really nice. Even the weather behaved and it was sunny and warm. The southern archipelago lies within the zone 1 on the Gothenburg tram/bus/boat system so it's cheap to go there and you can travel really far too. We didn't go that far, if you look on this map we went to the island called Styrsö. The boats go from Saltholmen, also on the map and the centre of Gothenburg is a little outside of the map to the right.

When we went home the sun had set and the sky was deep blue with a half moon and the sea shone like dark silver.
