frualeydisYou all know that we are short of money and that I shouldn't buy any more fabric or clothes or such. Well on friday I bought three pair of thick tights(one cotton, two wool) which at least is something I need since I seem to have worn out all my thick tights last winter and I always wear skirts.
But today I went to a (very small) sewing fair that's held this weekend and of course I couldn't stay away from the fabric. I bought some fusible interfacing that I need for another project and then I saw this wonderful, very small whale corduroy which had a flower print in different shades of berry red/burgundy with some outlines of the flowers in gold. I just couldn't resist it and bought two metres of it. Now I have to decide what to make of it. I could make a skirt, but I'm thinking about making a dress with a body similar to my grey corset, a (little higher in the neck though)and a gored skirt. I have to make some tests first and I have too many sewing projects right now, both mundane and medieval to start on it now. But it would be fun for the department's christmas party.
I think I would need something to hold out the skirt a little, but I have lots of black tulle from a skirt I made in the 80s.
