I got it from
sistersola and here are
Name your favorite song by the following bands and if you like, explain why:
Beatles - "A hard day's night", but that was a hard choice and is likely to change tomorrow.
Rolling Stones - There are too many good adn I don't know their names.
Greatful Dead - I can't even remeber hearing a song by Greatful dead
U2 - "Sunday, bloody sunday" or possibly "New year's day"
Velvet Underground - don't remember any
Led Zepplin - "Stairway to heaven" I guess. "The immigrant song" is better, but a little too racist for my taste.
Ramones - "I want you around", or "Blitzkrieg bop" or "Sheena". Aarrgh! I can think of ten more without any problems.
Kinks - "People are strange" is the only one I can think of now.
Billy Joel - Am I supposed to like a song by Billy Joel?
Green Day - "Basket case"
Elton John - Am I supposed to like a song by Elton John?
Pink Floyd - Very stereotypical, but still; "Brick in the wall"
Killers - Never hard any of them
Weezer - "Undone - the sweater song". But I love them and have almost all their records.
Pearl Jam - Can't remember any
Nirvana - OK, there were good songs on "Nevermind", I remeber that, but can't remember the name of any but "Smells like..." and that wasn't the best.
Elvis Costello - "I want you" (from "Blood and chocolate")
Eagles - I think I've only heard "Hotel Californa" and I really like it so.
The Who - "My generation"
Coldplay - They're boring
Radiohead - "Karma police"
Barenaked Ladies - Don't know any
The Shins - who?
Bruce Springsteen - "I'm on Fire"
Huey Lewis and the News - You have got to be kidding!
Rush - See above
Genesis - The one about TV evangelists, can't remember the name
The Police -
Duran Duran - "Wild boys", mostly for the video
They Might Be Giants - "Birdhouse in your soul" or "Istanbul"
R.E.M. - "Loosing my religion"
Indigo Girls - Huh?
Fountains of Wayne - who???
Toad the Wet Sprocket - don't know any
Tears for Fears - "Sowing the seeds of love"
And just to make it clear that some bands are missing:
Madness: "One step beyond"
the Clash:"Safe European home" and "White man in Hammersmith Palais" and I refuse to choose!
The Pouges:"Streets of sorrow - Birmingham six"
Since I'm very tired you shouldn't take this information too seriously.
