You know, I love my "new" glasses (got them last year) and all. They look good on me, they weigh next to nothing etc. But now they have broken for the second time in a couple of months. It's the little plastic thingie that is against your nose and I feel really stupid for going back to the optometrist again. It's one of those cheap chains and I wonder if they will give me a new plastic piece again. I paid like 450$* for those glasses (they were expensive because I need so strong lenses) about a year ago and I don't want that kind of trouble all the time (OK, two times in three months or so). My other glasses who were also very cheap lasted for five years and the frames are still good, I just wanted a change.

* I wrote 850 first, because I can't do math in the evening.

My glasses do the same thing - I've had it replace four times in the last eight months or so.

So far the cheap chain of opticians I use haven't commented on ti at all. My previous (more expensive chain) started charging me for the replacement part after the second time it happened.

The strange thing is, it's always the same side it breaks on ad it never used to happen at all and now happens fairly often.....
