Well, I don't do this period, but I think this dress would look lovely in Croft Mill's lovely lilac cotton/silk satin. It has the right thickness and weight.

Edit: It's getting worse, not only does Croft Mills (presumably still) have lilac satin, I just remebered that I have quite a lot of antique lace in the same colour and a similar pattern. But I don't even like the dress so it's not Fate. Not!

I'm normally very much against pink and frilly - but that style of pink and frilly I might be persuaded to wear... I like.

It's lilac! And I like pink and don't like lilac, but the fabric looks so much like the croft Mill's satin.

Lilac is the *only* colour left in the November Croft Mill Catalogue, so it might just be fate....
