Naah, that's ok.

I was astounded to find myself indulging in a bit of nostalgia, clothing-wise, this morning. When I was in high school, there were these wildly popular line of expensive pants that every girl HAD to have, in order to be 'in.' They were called Dittos jeans; they came in denim and a very nice brushed twill in all kinds of bright colors. What made them special was the way they were cut-- either they had a curving seam piecing the seat of the pants, sort of a princess-cut up the leg, across the butt and down the other leg, or they had the same seam up the center leg, across the top of the thigh and down the other side of the same leg (called side-saddles).

$25 for a pair of girl's pants in the mid 70s was ROBBERY.

I had exactly one pair of denim sidesaddles and I wore them until the seat split-- together with my windswept Farrah Fawcett hairstyle. Well, as much as I could get my STICK STRAIGHT HAIR to cooperate.

Ah, youth. It's never appreciated by those that have it.
