I re-made a pair of cotton tights that had gotten too short in the legs after washing into long stockings yesterday. I thought they looked really nice with a short red skirt that I have and thought they would be nice to wear together as soon as the weather got warm.
Then I took a picture to post in [livejournal.com profile] socks_fun and discovered that it wasn't such a good idea. Look at the post to see what I mean. Maybe a little too much leg, don't you think?
I know it won't look like that when I stand up, but I still think it's a little too much. So I think I will use longer skirts with them.

*whistles politely*

But seriously, you've just given me an idea for a pair of stripey tights that have shrunk in the wash...

Well, perhaps a *little* more skin than people are used to see in public. You could save it for special occasions with Rickard.

By the way, this "card" is sufficiently geeky that I can stand caving in to the whole V-day thing (even if it's somewhat late).

I think they'll look very fine when you stand up (and, possibly, wear a slightly longer skirt). Or if you never sit down when you're at work. :)

I dunno, that's pretty much what I look like when I wear overknees without hose. I don't think it's that risque.

Yup, longer skirt or special occasions. And you should perhaps not wear them when teaching - if you want the students to think of anything other than legs. Do they stay up well with that elastic?

I tend to entertain the students with funny socks, but not indecent exposure. If they are entertained, one never knows. They say up okay-ish, they don't stay up at the top, but don't fall down below mid-thigh.
