I'm alive and working

Random information:

* The Bocksten bog costume report is finished.

* The tests are graded

* I am currently working with revising chapter 3, the huge descriptive chapter about the garments mentioned in swedish and norwegian medieval documents, and chapter 1, where I'm writing more about art sources and which pictures I have studied.

* I bought new shoes yesterday. They're trainer inspired and in black suede and closes with velcro on two suede straps in red and one in olive green. I don't exactly like velcro, but they looked sort of cool and it means that it will be easier to put them on even when I have trouble bending my back or moving my hips. It was also a sale so there wasn't so much to choose between. And I can have my special soles in them.

* The sun is shining on the white snow and it's beautiful outside.

My favourite shoes ever are pair of trainer inspired ones in beige suede, with no straps or laces or velcro at all -- they are just slip-in, and the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I bought them for a lot of money in a little shoe shop in Malung six years ago, and have worn them extensively since. I keep worrying what I'll wear when they finally wear out; I have troublesome feet and can seldom find shoes that work for me. It's like reading a really good novel -- you can't stop, but you know that the more you read, the sooner you will finish it... :)
