Meh!

I feel like that today. I don't want to go to work and have to do things on the dissertation. I just want to sit at home and drink tea. But I'm meeting another teacher about the tests today so I _have_ to go, even if it wasn't for the fact that I can't afford wasting a day if I want to finish my manuscript.

Yesterday was spent at the town museum and at my sister's. Once a year the museum has a day when different groups and societies may present themselves, so Nylöse was there. It was me, Anna, her bf Kristian, a girl called Julia and armillary and it was really nice. We were placed next to the SCA group and a local viking re-enactment group, all very nice people. Anna finished one of my shoes and I almost finished taking 4" off my hand sewn Herljolfsnes dress. It had mysteriously gotten too big. I had to take off the sleeves fist, and then I took away 2" in each side. I had re-attached one of the sleeves when we left the museum and did the rest at my sister's place. It's actually still a little big and the armscyes should probably be scooped out a little more in the front, but I'm not unpicking it again, at least not for a while. It looks okay and I'm going to wear it with another dress under, because it only has elbow long sleeves.
The reason we went to my sister's was that it was her fiance's birthday. So we ate too much cakes and cookies and looked at their four fish tanks. Rickard played "Lord of the fries" with him too, a card game where you're going to make different types of food.

I just finished taking about that much off a skirt I made today. Funny. I could swear I'd stopped loosing weight. The cats must be fiddling about with my measuring tapes when I'm not looking.

I have gained weight again, but I still weigh less than I did when I made that dress.
