I have the best friend and new shoes
Mar. 15th, 2006 06:09 pmAnna popped in on her way to dance class and gave me a pair of shoes she had made for me as a birthday present (my birthday was in November, but I wasn't in a hurry). They're turnshoes, hand sewn with linen thread, and have the typical rounded toes of the 16th century. My other shoes, which she also made, are more suited to the 13th and early 14th century and it's so nice to have appropriate shoes for this period too.

Oh, and another thing: I have my specially made supportive soles in them.

Date: 2006-03-16 02:47 pm (UTC)It's better today definitely. Maja kept waking up in the night so I'm very tired, but outside the sun is shining and you can actually see that the snow is melting because of the little puddles with water and slush.

Date: 2006-03-16 06:35 pm (UTC)I can't believe it only takes her a week, it'd take me like months hehe!!~ In fact if I made them, they'd like like shoes for curious George. Does she create her own patterns too?
I love those first little puddles of water from melting snow..they can be very magical, especially when you're a child.
Is Maja sick? I hope you two have had a warm & snuggly nap today :)
