Today is the spring equinox and I'm not doing anything. I'm just hanging around at home, not even sewing, which I almost always do. I did have a wonderful walk outside earlier today though; I went downtown to get some more henna/indigo mix for my hair, and it was sunny and around 0 (32F) and there are spots were you can see the grass on the lawn in front of the university. But it feels odd not to honour the goddess with a ritual on this day.
Maja has a temperature today and I did feel distinctly sick while riding on the bus today. I hope I haven't caught whatever Maja has.

Don't forget the words of The Charge of the Goddess:

"All acts of love and beuuty are My rituals"

If you don't have the energy to do a big, formal ritual tonight, then do what you can even if it's only lighting a candle and spending a couple of moments thinking of Spring.

Blessed Be, Sister.

Thank you.
I have cleaned my altar, changed the colours of the candels, replaced my crone picture with one of the maiden and tomorrow I will eat my spring equinox egg for breakfast.
And there may well be specific acts of love and beauty, my husband certainly looks at me that way :)

this really hit home for me. I was soo wrapped up in my great grandmother's health that I forgot the solsitce until I was catching up on posts.
Taking care of her is such an act of love.

Have you two been feeling ill most of the Winter? perhaps a light detox for both cutting out white flour & refined sugars for a bit might help?

Adding vitamin C & Hot peppers are like magic my friend!~*

Yes I agree we all need some sort of spring fertility reveling ritual this year :)

Stay warm & get some cardomon tea.

I have actually been much better than previous winters. I haven't had any real, long flare in my arthritis yet and since I stopped taking metothrexate three years ago I haven't gotten the vile half year long sinus infections I used to get between October and May every year.
Maja started preschool in October and it is only normal that she should get ill a lot more since she's exposed to so much more bacteria and viruses than when she was at home with her dad and didn't meet so many people.
But more oranges and garlic can always be eaten. I'm not sure about the hot peppers for Maja however.

I hope I haven't caught whatever Maja has.

If you *are8 coming down with something, then I hope it *is* whatever Maja has -t hat way, both of you get it out of the way. if it isn't, then she might catch what you have and you might still catch what she has and both of you ihgt be ill for longer.

So I hope you really aren't cvoming down with anything at all as that's a far better option
