No Beltane for me

We usually celebrate Beltane on the 30th, because I want to demonstrate on the 1st of may. But this year there won't be any celebration. One of our members has sick kids and had to clean vomit from beds in the middle of the night. She was going to bring them so another members bf could babysit, but they don't want to be sick so that is out of the question. Rickard is still sick, everything he eats just passes through and his stomach aches a lot and I'm coming down with something too, I'm not sure what. And the other members don't want those bacteria/viruses either.
As I feel now there won't be any demonstration for me either. And no visit from amonik which was planned tomorrow, in case of rain.

also for me this years spring festivities are kind of quiet.
the boy is away building old houses on a remote island, and all of my friends in town are either too tired or to busy to be able to socialize.

so i guess it is just me and my knitting tonight. possibly i'll be able to convince my computer to show me a DVD ot two...
a bit sad on the whole i think. it's not the i feel in need of a big party, rahter not if i could choose. i would settle for nice company, a sofa and a cup of tea. ;)

Oh, I haven't celebrated Walborg in the traditional way for over fifteen years. I realized I didn't care for being hung over on the 1st of May. There used to be lots of 1st of May parties I could go to after the demonstration instead. But I miss celebrating with my coven.

i don't really care about celebrating, and in any case i never party in a way that gives me a hangover anyway.

i just feel a bit miserable and grumpy about being left alone... ;)
