I got my article (Historisk tidskrift, I've been going on quite a lot about it in January) back with suggestions for corrections today. There was lots of red in it, but nothing serious, so I don't feel put down. Just a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing, that my article is getting published.
Apart from correcting the article I've graded some tests and now I feel that I deserve a tea break. I've been trying to catch up with people's LJ-posts, but it seems you've all been very active the last five days.

My belly is getting heavy now and I have problems sleeping because it aches in the lower part of it (muscle strain) and baby's kicking almost all the time. Only ten weeks to go!

Yesterday I bought gold spangles/sequins for my loose kirtle. The original was made from silk embroidered with silver spangles and even though I'm making it from brocade and not embroidered silk I think it needs the spangles to make it more like the real thing. It will make me feel like I'm playing the lead part in "Hello Dolly", but I decided long ago not to let modern aesthetics stand in the way of periodness. For example: The fabric of the so called Queen Margareta's golden gown" is truly tasteless. I've seen it up close (it was woven at Vafskolan in Boras, pretty close to Gothenburg, where I live) and normally I wouldn't be caught dead in something so golden and shiny (the pictures are nothing compared to the real thing). But I would kill to have the fabric to make a 15th c gown from (I probably _would_ have to kill to get it. It's handwoven, they made a couple of centimeters/day, from silk and specially ordered real gold thread.)
Historical Costuming makes strange things with your taste.

Yup, seems the medieval tastes run to the truely tasteless, luckily enough I am learning to revel in it. Everyone here who I have shown your loose kirtle to adores it.

Wow! 30 weeks already!? It is good you'll be having the wee lump before the real heat of summer kicks in. My last pregnancy ended in a delivery 5 days late in the middle of August. Miserable. I know, I can't help it. I think it is a Mommy thing to start blathering about labor and birthing experiences at any opportunity. You can tell me to shut up now ;D
