1. Are you named after anyone? If so, explain.
No, my mum had decided on Eva before she even met my father. My second name; Inger, is after my paternal grandmother and my third name; Marie, after my mother.
2. Do you have your children's names picked out already? If so, is there any significance?
I already have all the kids I am going to have. They're all girls, if Maja had been a boy we were contemplating Jonas or Henrik, very common boy names in our generation, but not so common among babies now.
3. If you were born a member of the opposite sex what would your name have been?
I have no idea. My younger brother is called Andreas, but that was the result of much arguing between my parents so I don't think they had a clear idea.
4. If you could re-name yourself what name would you pick and why?
Eva was the second commonest woman's name in Sweden when I grew up, and my last name, Andersson, is the second commonest surname. There is a whole page of Eva Andersson in the local phone book. So yes, when I was younger I thought about changing my name. My favourite was my great-grandmother's second name:Teorina. When I was a child I was very fond of Miriam and Rebecka. But now I'm used to my name and like it. And it's not as common as first name as it used to be.
5. Are there any mispronunciations/typos that people do w/ your name constantly?
People ask if I spell it with a v or a w, but that's the only thing. Not much to misspell.
