New shoes

I went to another part of town today to get those lovely, cheap shoes [livejournal.com profile] idahoswede raved about yesterday. Unfortunately they were out of the Oxfords, which were the ones I really wanted. I had looked at a pair of Oxfords at almost double the price at another shoe store and this offer of "take three, pay for two" and the lower prices seemed to promise me three pairs of shoes for the same price as one. But I did get the more expensive ones. They were in real leather and 70$ isn't that much still. But I wanted more, I could have gotten a pair of granny boots and some nice court shoes too.
God! I love these 1920s-30s style shoes that are everywhere now. This beautiful style hasn't been revived as long as I can remember, and I'm sure they will all be gone soon and new ugly styles will follow. Unfortunately I don't have the economic means to hoard shoes.

I can't find a picture of the shoes I bought, almost all others are on Din Sko's web site, but those must be one of the defective pictures. But I love these beauties too. They also come in red and black.

Wow, I'm checking at Din Sko tomorrow. You can order the ones you liked on the website for skopunkten starting next week you know.

No, I didn't know that. I guess I should have waited then. But I really prefer real leather shoes so I guess it wasn't so bad after all. I really wanted those nice suede boots you got too, but they didn't have them in my size, and anyway, since I had to buy my shoes at Din Sko instead I couldn't afford to do any more shopping right now.
BTW, how are the shoes from Ellos?(found them on their web site). Is the sizing correct?

It's hard to tell about sizing. Depending on the cut of the shoe, I am either a 40 or a 41. I got a 41 in the mauve shoe from Ellos because the heel is rather high and I like to give myself a little more room also because my feet will swell a little bit during the day. But I probably could have done just as well with a size 40.

I think I'm going to get a red pair of those shoes you showed tomorrow at Din Sko. It's in town, so I don't have to get on the bus and go all the way out of town to the stupid mall.

They're not even that expensive, 280 SEK, that should be about 40 $, right? I think they are a little high for me, but I do lust for them.

280 SEK, yes, that's about $40, not too bad. I'm trying to put together a nicer wardrobe now that I'm going back to work in a proper office.

i saw some girl the other day, with some lovely shoes from din sko. I think I need to go there and try and buy a pair or two. My foots really don't agree with any shoes, but I need to give it a try. Afterall, it doesn't happen often that I find shoes I like as well as the current 20's-30's ones.

Ack! Those Oxfords are lovely indeed! I have been wanting shoes like that for years, but could never find anything affordable. If the style is becoming "in" these days, that means I'll be able to find something affordable! *swoons*

Those are fabulous shoes! I have hated the recent trend in shoes. Those long 'winklepicker' points are just ugly beyond belief on size 9 feet. I hope those 20's and 30's inspired fashions make it to this side of The Pond soon.

I love the shoe fashions right now too. I never learned to like pointy toes.

I agree with you. Finally shoes look good again, IMO. I've bought several pairs this year. And I will certainly visit Skopunkten now...
