(And you don't have to answer, really. This is more in the way of a rhetorical query.)
(Only I do want to know too)
Why two hundred and fifty nine bottles? Would it have killed you to get that one last bottle? Round out the numbers, make it all nice and even. Or even leave three at the store, 256 is a good number. It's binary.
But 259? My fragile mind is on the breaking point...
I now see the inherent balance in the number. I like my numbers to be balanced, but I'm not quite a good enough mathematician to see it as easily with the odd numbers.
Thank you, for aiding a fellow geek in distress.
I like 7 too. It's my favourite number. *snuggles number seven*
(Yes, I am probably having a mental un-health day)

Date: 2006-09-27 07:56 pm (UTC)259 is the product of 7 and 37, and it just so happens that there are 7 prime numbers between 7 and 37.
So it's quite a neat number. Plus, it means a lot of beer.

Sorry, I've been very whimsical lately. Your explanation is at once so simple, yet so prosaic.
