My empire petticoat
Oct. 4th, 2006 08:31 amI realized that though it has been finished since July I haven't shown any pictures of my empire petticoat.
so
The back of the bodice is too long compared to the front, but I won't do anything about that since it won't show when I have a dress on. This is an easy mistake to make when you have so much bust as I have. And when you drape patterns on yourself.
The sleeves belong to the chemise. And of course I'm wearing a corset under it.

Date: 2006-10-04 06:40 am (UTC)I can't say I enjoyed hand sewing through the firmly woven cotton I used, but at least there are fewer seams than in medieval clothes.
