Apart from arthritis having a flare I got a cold right after the viva. And I didn't get better. I have been working on half speed and I can probably give a pretty good lecture on Monday in Malmö. But I am too tired and ill to go to our annual event Fru Ragnhild's Collegium. That's really a pity; it's a very nice event and some friends from other parts of the country that I don't see often are there, and [livejournal.com profile] haugtussa from Norway.
It's also the tenth anniversary for the event and I was one of the two founders. But I felt too crappy to go. After I had called and told I wasn't coming Maja woke up from a nap and it turns out she has got a temperature, so it was definitely the right decision.
Oh, and my friend Sara rescued the lecture schedule by offering an improvised lecture on the Grail, the Templars and medieval history, not Dan Brown's fictional story.

not Dan Brown's fictional story.

You mean "The DaVinci Code" isn't real? {wails in heartbroken disillusionment, ok not really}

It's typical to get ill after tension breaks, but not the less fun. I hope you and Maja gets plenty of rest this weekend and that you both feel better soon! It's not fun to miss something one has looked forward to.

*hugs*

Actually the emphasis of my lecture was Templar myth and conspiracy theories through the ages, since that's what I know the most about. I believe people had fun, though.
