Today I went out and bought shoes for the gift certificate I got from my friend Sara. It turned out it worked also in some other shoe stores so I got the same shoes as idahoswede. I had been lusting for them for over a month, but while they weren't expensive I really couldn't justify spending any money on fancy shoes with too high heels to be comfortable for anyone with arthritic feet. But now it was a present.

I also got around to unloading pictures from my camera so I can show you the wonderful shawl haugtussa's mother gave me, that she had made herself. You don't see it very well in the picture, but it's a triangular shawl from dark grey natural coloured wool with a border with a lacy pattern and fringe. It has very long ends so it's comfortable to cross over the chest and tie in the back. It works wonders for tense shoulders and until yesterday it has been warm enough here to use it as the only outer garment.




In other news: Maja is a little better now, but definitely not well enough to go anywhere tomorrow.

I adore those shoes. I even tried the yellow ones on, but then decided to be sane and not buy them. But cool, that they are.

I would have been sane if it hadn't been for that gift certificate. They're surprisingly comfortable.
