What to do with the brown wool
Nov. 10th, 2006 08:49 amAnyway, back to the brown wool. I think it will be something from the 16th century. First I thought I would make a kirtle to wear while cooking, working, slacking etc. The green kirtle I made to go under the flemish outfit gives lots of support, but since it has a pointed front it isn't ideal for bending down to tend fires etc. But on the other hand I already have my french peasant dress. Since I weigh less now than when I took those pictures it should be pretty comfortable. I also have the rose red kirtle I wear with my english early 16th century dress. So maybe I don't need a new kirtle as much as a new dress. I will have to think about this.
