Shoes I want to buy
Nov. 29th, 2006 08:45 amI'm considering buying one, two, or all of these:
Buttoned boots (textile)
for 18th c stuff? (textile)
Buttoned shoes. (synthetic leather)
Probably not these or these, but they're cool. (both leather)
I like these (leather)a lot too, but I don't really picture myself in knee high boots.
They're all from DinSko, a swedish shoe chain and none of them are really expensive. But I couldn't get all of course, but maybe two pairs, OR the high boots. The problem is that those I like most are not made of leather and I prefer leather shoes.
Later I ended up just buying the buttoned boots. The buttoned shoes very lovely, but too large for me, I have broad, but thin feet, so I could easily get in them without unbuttoning them and my feet move around. I didn't like the finish of the second shoes and I decided that I didn't need the lovely open-and-laced leather shoes, since the heel was rather too high for everyday use. But the boots were even prettier in person.

Date: 2006-11-29 08:00 am (UTC)My friend bought some red ones that looked a bit like those, but with lower heels (they also came in black, you must have seen them) for 18th century inspired costumes.
Did you know that Din Sko is about the only shop that has lower prices in NOK than SEK? Indiska is a lot more expensive in Norway, for example.

Date: 2006-11-29 10:07 am (UTC)I saw the very best shoes in Gothenburgh in summer, but that was not in Din Sko. Very 18th c, with the right heel and a "bunad" buckle. I would have bought them if they had fitted my feet.

Date: 2006-11-29 09:27 pm (UTC)I clicked your first picture link, then checked out their site and drooled. Then I clicked your other links and you picked all the same shoes/boots that I liked too :)
I wish I could get some of those over here.
