I can't believe it!

Somebody actually made this comment on AIPON:
"I don't think your stance is very period at all. the crossed hands, the sagging shoulders, the face contortion. relax into the role. you will not find your stance, your stance will find you!!"
I had to reply on AIPON and continue writing about it. This comment really pisses me off. My shoulders does NOT sag, I have very straight shoulders and what little sagging there is comes from a combination of being tired because of the belly and having very big breasts. "Face contortion" I don't know what she means. Yes, my face doesn't look like it does when I'm not too tired and warm, but since she(he?) doesn't know me she has very little to compare with and to call my face contorted is just meant as an insult. As for relaxing, try looking totally at ease with your body when you're eight months pregnant. And I have a hard time believing that this was so much easier for a 16th century woman than for me. Probably less so, since this is only my second pregnancy and I have the benifit of better nourishment.
Usually I don't care that much, but this is so STUPID!

Date: 2004-03-31 03:32 pm (UTC)I mean it's why I called my site The Frazzled Frau for goodness sake! None of the women look comfy, none have their shoulders back for one thing (that's only fashionable every so often in history) and they usually have their hands in front!
I haven't seen the piccie they were commenting on.. or maybe I did and just don't get the connection between it and the comments;) But it's not say I thinkyou look tired etc, just that it's really a period look for nearly every woman in a portrait of the 16thC;)
