I just won this fabric on Tradera, a swedish auction site. It's has grosgrain structure and is probably made from rayon or viscose, or some other cellulose fibre. The seller did a burn test on my request. I am thinking something from the 1870s-80s, with a solid underskirt.

And now to something completely different: Maja knows lots of christmas songs and sings them in a very adorable way when she's playing. Right now it's "Pepparkaksgubbarna", which in english means "the gingerbread men".
I have been to the doctor this morning and I got a cortisone shot in my foot; hopefully it will help. My rib cage is better and I hope it will stay that way.
Today's plans is to make more saffron buns and then to make meatballs from 1,5 kilo minced meat. [livejournal.com profile] armillary is coming over for a while, and then [livejournal.com profile] bippimalin will come in the afternoon. Apparently American Airlines cancelled [livejournal.com profile] tattycat's tickets to Sweden, including the tickets from Denver to Göteborg, because they had cancelled the flight she was to take from Salt Lake City to Denver. But they didn't bother to tell her this, not even when she confirmed the booking a week ago. So she ended up in Salt Lake City, even unsure if she could get home for christmas(she lives in Washington, but when she booked the tickets she lived in Salt Lake City and it would have cost more than the ticket to Sweden to re-book them so she went from Washington). So she can't go to Sweden over christmas, AA won't refund her and [livejournal.com profile] armillary will be alone for christmas (not counting parents). And he has waited for more than half a year to see her.
Hopefully she can come in february instead, but still.

- Cool fabric! From the look of it, it will work well :)

- Hope you will be feeling better for Christmas.
- Stupid airline.

Aww. That made armillary's posts make sense. I was wondering what they were all about.

That sucks

but the fabric is nice

that's awful, Denver had a huge snowstorm on wednesday, about 3ft of snow and they cancelled all flights :(

Dallas. Salt lake to Dallas. The flight cancellation hadn't anything to do with weather-- there's some complex screwup between American Airlines and Cheap Tickets, during which (as my most recent post will tell you) my tickets were *changed* the day I flew out of DC. I wasn't notified by CT until after I'd left.

Oops! I got it all on the phone from a reasonably upset [livejournal.com profile] armillary and apparently missed some details. Anyhow, we'll be happy to see you here later.
