This is a little complicated to answer, since my main activity is in a break-away group from the SCA, and has been so since 1995. I am a member of the SCA though. But many of the questions are so general and the groups so alike that the answer can be the same. I will tell which group I mean, if there is a difference.

1. What is your SCA name? (You don't have to write the full name, just your first name if you want.)
Aleydis van Vilvoorde; or Aleydis from Nylöse, Aleydis Budde's wife etc. Names in the middle ages were not always static that way, they were telling things to identify people.

2. What is your home kingdom?
Shire of Gotvik, Principality of Nordmark, kingdom of Drachenwald.

3. Have you ever lived in another kingdom? If so, where?
Nope, never lived on another continent, not even abroad inside Europe.

4. Do you remember your first SCA event? When/what was it?
Visby Medieval week August 1993. I should have gone to a local party in April that same year but had to spend the day in ER with a mysteriously swollen finger. Yes, that was the first flare of the psoriatic arthritis that I'm suffering from now, but we didn't know that then.

5. Do you have any awards? (You don't have to list them if you don't want)
Not in the SCA, but in Nordrike I have the equivalent of AoA and Grant of Arms

6. Do you list them after your name in communications like e-mail?
Eerh, no.

7. Do you have a device?
I have my arms (scroll down)registered in Nordrike, but not in the SCA.

8. Do you use it? On what?
I have a banner that hang on my wall, both in my apartment and in my pavillion, I have a pennant on the pavillion, a (fake)fur lined bed spread in wool with it on and various other stuff marked with it, or just the three flowers.

9. Are you on all the kingdom/society lists available to you, or do you avoid them?
No, just the local.

10. Do you keep your Pennsic/Estrella/Gulf Wars/etc. site tokens?
I keep the tokens from the Visby medieval week camp. Other than that we don't use site tokens here.

11. Do you keep the favours you've been given by royalty/friends/Sos, etc.? Do You wear them all?
N/A We don't give favours like that. I got a nifty little brown/green glass bottle with my arms painted on it from the king and queen once and of course I use that.

12. Do you call your friends by their SCA names even when you're not at an event?
Not so close friends yes, but for people I see almost every day I use their mundane names.

13. Do you go out to dinner in garb after an event?
There is always a feast included in our events and they are anyway usually away from towns so it wouldn't be very practical even if one wanted to leave the site. But I often travel to and from more local events in garb; less to carry on the bus.

14. Do you have all kinds of garb, or do you generally stick to one period?
Every century from the 10th to the 16th. Some are more well-represented and of course I don't have all styles within one century or from every region of Europe. The periods I have most from is 12th century, early 14th century and 16th century.

15. How many interests do you have within the SCA? What's your favourite?
Research and sewing without doubt. Aside from that I really like singing, and dancing, but I can't do that so much more.

16. Do you have an SCA-oriented web site (to show off projects, keep dress diaries, etc.)?
My web site is mostly directed at costumes from within the SCA period.

17. Do you maintain a hairstyle that is more period style than modern?
Yes, but not just for that reason. I like having long hair.

18. Do you tell "No $###, there I was" stories? (Admit it.) Do any of them involve well-known SCA people?
Not SCA people, but I know quite a lot of stories from Nordrike.

19. Authenticity is Fun. Yes or no? Why?
Yes. Why? For me the point is to re-create the middle ages and 16th century,
so of course I strive for authenticity. Within certain limits of course, antisemitism and abuse of women are for example perfectly period practices that I won't accept.

20. Is there one modern thing at events that really bugs you?
You know; I could make a really long list, but here is something that I experienced a lot of in Visby last year:
Having modern things outside ones pavillion in camp, when it is clearly stated that it isn't allowed. And refusing to take in your damn pizza boxes. And repeating it the next bloody day!
And being aggressive when you're asked to remove them. And it was not only us they ignored but the camp guards too.
Cigarettes, plastic bottles/aluminum cans, plastic bags when you return to camp from shopping...
Oh, and tunics worn with jeans.

Bonus Question! 21. Everyone has a shameful garb/accessory mistake hidden somewhere in their past. What's yours? (We're all friends here, we promise not to laugh. Much.)
I made a gored a-line dress in a lovely sage fabric with a faint stripe. Nothing wrong with that, but it had a belt just under the bust and a rounded neck line that is only fit for renaissance gowns.
