I want to make a new lacing cord for the kirtle, right now it's laced with black 5mm cotton tape, but that's it.

I will try to work on the web site during the weekend, so that I can upload the page on Monday or so.

You look so cute!! What an adorable outfit. And can I just admire the hem on that petticoat? It is so even, which is a thing I can never quite attain.

Thanks. I like it a lot too. Though I must admit I look much better without the funny caps.

I must be doing too much re-enactment - they don't look funny to me.

My thought too;) But then I was suckered to the dark side of millinery in 2002...

Ooh Eva I think this is my favourite outfit of yours so far! It looks so comfy and well made, and I love the teture of the jacket:)

That made me think about which is my own favourite and I think it must be the Anthonis Mor dress (http://web.comhem.se/~u41200125/bilder/morfront2.jpg), although I like my 18th century outfit and my rose red early 14t c cotte (http://web.comhem.se/~u31138198/redcotte.html) a lot too.

Okay, now I *need* a little wool cap like that. Is it the same pattern as the coif, or did you draft your own (if you don't mind me asking)?

I used the coif pattern but omitted the neadband, adding 2 cm to the brim in the back instead, where teh headband should be. I also made the round piece slghtly smaller so that it wasn't almost gathered at all. My documentation for this cap is however very small: one glass painting from c. 1600; from the rather far-away country of Sweden.

Good thing my persona's brother is a merchant, then ;) I will confess, though, now that the temperature has finally dropped, I just need something warm that doesn't look grossly inappropriate (love the knitted Monmouth cap, but it looks very odd with middle-class women's wear) to keep my head warm.

Ooh, look at you all in blue - my very favourite colour.

I think that looks very good, I'm sure it'll be even better seeing it in person as well. Nice job.

Niiiiice. I like the blues. The cap somehow ties it together color-wise too.
