I've just left off Maja at preschool. While I was there Valeria and Vendela left for school. And only one of them took her winter/rain jacket. The other one's just wearing a sweatshirt hoodie. I guess they didn't notice that it was raining (btw, a hoodie was known as a "monk's jacket" here in Sweden when I grew up in the 70s).

Today I will have to write a job application and I should probably also try to get to the university at some point, either today or tomorrow, to prepare for friday's lecture. On the other hand, a very short walk downtown yesterday, 3 kilometres at the very most, left me feeling achy everywhere, feverish and in a very bad need of sleep. I do NOT like my body right now. So maybe I should stay at home and rest as much as I can?

I bought three new bras yesterday. Why is it that all your bras die at the same time? Anyway, I spent about 1000 SEK and got three bras for that. One of them was on sale, but this shop both has a good assortment of bras also for larger breasts and very reasonable prices. I have very decided taste when it comes to bras. I can stand those t-shirt bras which have a foam shell and go really high up on the sides. They have a totally different shape than my breasts and the last thing I need is a semi-stiff pieces of rubber foam sticking out from my chest. Of course I need underwire bras and I prefer the cups to be of the constructed variety, with seams. The other kind gives you a much flatter silhouette and when your waist goes in as little as mine do you don't want to flatten your boobs.
It seems like in most brands I can now get away with an F-cup. Yay! Though not at Lindex, which is the large underwear chain here, their Fs are too small.

I also bought a pair of cute wine red shoes on sale.

Apart from that I started on a little linen cap with a flounce around all edges, like the one Hill, the servant of the Bennetts, wears in BBCs P&P.

ETA: When I put back the shoes in the box I noticed that all the fake suede on the left shoes was worn off. That was the shoe that came direct from the storage and I hadn't checked it properly before buying them. So I had to go back and unfortunately they didn't have any more in my size. I got my money back, but that can't replace those gorgeous shoes.

Those shoes are great! I love the combination of suede and the fabric. And just in my colour as well.

It's hard to find good bras. Of course they must have a correct fit! Most shops have a very limited selection in my size.

Lovely shoes. Din Sko again, yes?

Why is it that all your bras die at the same time?

Same reason all your socks die at the same time?

Sorry, I guess you wouldn't know about that... ;)

And the shoes are very pretty. I really like that shape.

Those are adorable shoes.I have shoe envy.

I can never find bras in my size. It is partly for this reason that I want to learn to sew. If the cup size is large enough, the wires always come up too far in the sides! I spent all yesterday suffering through one of my old bras gouging my armpits, but I can't throw it out because I haven't found new ones to replace it.
Yet underwires are the only way to go... And there's a particular shaping I like in the cup seams-- I'm very picky. But being picky doesn't matter, when there are no stores in my city/state that actually carry bras in my size in the first place.

Are you able to find sizes larger than an F? Here in the states they use the stupid sizing D, DD, and DDD >rolls eyes<

And they assume that anybody with large breasts is large all over. It's very difficult to find 34/36 DDD (F I think) let alone anything with a larger cup size!

This shop, which is a small shop, with bras everywhere and a middle aged lady who helps you find the right fit it f you ask; a typical non-glamorous, non-trendy underwear store directed at people above middle age, has up to G in several brands. But that may be the only shop in town that sells G-cups. Ther used to be a speciality shop who sold up to H-cups, but the business was to slow so they had to close.
Most bras in Sweden are sold in the two big chains, Lindex, and the slightly more exclusive Twilfit. And they may have one kind of bra with an F and nothing above.

One thign that really annoyed me when I just had had Maja, and hadn't realized that this shop had larger sizes, was that I couldn't find a nursing bra in my size. You read in all advice that you should buy a bra one size bigger, so there's no pressure on the breast, that may cause blockage and inflammation. But nobody sold nrusing bras above E (DD). I had to order mine on-line from Canada.

In general I know that people with larger breasts than G order from the States since there are more fat women there and thus more women with large breasts.
But then there is teh problem with thewidth of the band. If I find an F-cup, the smallest size is generally 40, and I need size 36.

I have actually resorted to taking in the bra band (moving the hooks) on several bras.

I bought a bellydance costume which must have been something like a 100E. Now, moving the hooks and bar is something one always have to do, but can you imagine the amount of padding (shoulder pads etc) I needed to put into that to make it a 75D! :) Currently I am a 70D and I haven't dared trying that costume on since. Which is a shame because it's gorgeous :-/
