Everything sucks!

Or at least my trouser skirt and my health. The mock-up I made didn't fit at all, mainly due to a serious case of faulty thinking on my side. But the description of how to sew it together that I was using, from a sewing book from 1953, didn't make it easier by skipping at least two, maybe three vital steps. I tossed aside and now I'm sulking.
I think I'll borrow herzeloyde's trouser pattern some day and use it as a starting point.
If I stop feeling warm and like my head is made of rubber or something, I might make a pair of warm sleeves for my red 16th century gown. I think I will wear it to the Winter Games the first weekend in march and I'm sure I will need them; it's far north.
