I have enough 16th century corsets for the moment

I spent around an hour trying on corsets and bodices and have come to the conclusion that I don't need another corset right now. My old, old, first corset now closes in the back due to the fabric having stretched. But fully closed it is comfortable and my old bodices fit (that's how I know it's the corset that has stretched and not me who has gotten smaller). Also, the doublet is large enough for me to wear the extremely comfortable party corset I made for the department's christmas party a little over a year ago. It's actually a little too big now, but it will do nicely for the day; easy to move in, and front-closed. The fact that it is made from very small-whale corduroy with a printed pattern makes it unfit to be seen, but will help keep me warm too. So, unless I shrink too much, I will wear that corset with the red gown and my first corset with the purple gown.
So I felled seams and hemmed the sleeves instead; soon finished.
