I'm feeling pretty sick. I hope it's just being away in BorĂ¥s buying fabric all day. I bought 2,3 metres of a very nice soft brown, greyish fake fur that I plan to line the bodice and sleeves of a Tudor gown with, five metres of white linen for shifts for the girls and a metre of rosy red thin wool tabby for Maja. I also got myself a navy tailored jacket, since my old brown velvet jacket died in the autumn. This one is less fun, but much better quality, both when it comes to material and sewing.

Tomorrow I must be at least reasonably well, because I need to finish my lecture for Saturday (and ideally grade tests) and on friday I go to the northern parts of Sweden for an SCA event.
I have given up on finishing the corset and have instead made the thicker wool sleeves I need to make my red gown even better suited to winter events outdoors.

Hope not it is going to be a bad cold or flue you have catched, when you are so buisy.
Sounds lovely witht the lecture and the event up north. Is it medieval or renaissance?
The red gown is lovely!

Thank you. It is the SCA, so it covers both the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. Since Nordrike, my main group, tend to be more focused on the Middle Ages I take the chance to wear 16th century when I go to SCA events.
I hope to get some new pictures, since these were taken in 2002.

Hope you get better before the weekend. I obviously am *not* going - aside from being fairly costly when you include travel, I had promised to return a favour by helping some friends move this weekend.
