Pink surcoat
Apr. 16th, 2004 11:26 pmOK, as requested: Here's a picture of Rickard in his latest early 14th century outfit.
As I've mentioned earlier it's from the Manesse Codex and the image we used for our wedding invitations last year.
I had originally planned to line the surcoat with a white damask, but it turned out there was too little of it, so now it is lined with a beige/grey very thin 100% wool that was on sale for ca 1,5 $ per metre. The trim is brass and probably cotton.
Anyway, this is just a quick shot, when I have made the red cotte for me (I already have the blue surcoat)and some garlands with brass flowers for us both I will take better photos and put them in the costume gallery on my website. Maybe a project for the summer.
And my belly has been very quiet all day :(
