Marking out where all the gazillion pinks are to be on Rickard's doublet is really, really boring. The back is half done and I already hate it.

Ugh. I'm with you... I have to sew 8 yards of wool trim onto [livejournal.com profile] trystbat's skirt. I've been avoiding it all day... ;)

I got fed up of marking then I got fed up of cutting them in the panes of my Kentwell trunkhose 2 years ago.

I got so fed-up of it that I *still* haven't got around to making the matching jerkin.

I cut each piece after marking it. Thus I get more variety in the mind-numbing boredom.

I did that for each pane of the trunk hose, after a while.

It didn't really help in the long run...

Of course, I also piped both edges of each pane with pinked fabric strips so each pane involved a *lot* of pinking, and the jerkin design involved the same pinked piping and and slashing pattern all over so the very thoguth of starting it was enough to make me balk.
