I've done one thing on my list!

I think my depression-thing was actually just a sign of me getting ill, because my cold got much worse and I'm home from work resting now. And when I don't have to pressure myself into doing things I feel less down.
My dear friend Anna came over both wednesday and yesterday to spend some time with me. We've both been very busy lately and haven't had the time to socialize, but finally i was at home in the evening and not teaching. Having her there made want to sew a little so I started with the sleeves for my light green linen chainse and yesterday I attached them to the dress.
It looks fabulous. Well, at least the sleeves and the neck do and that's really the only parts that are going to be visible, since I'm going to wear a bliaut on top of it. Just by itself it looks funny, since I tried pleating, or rather crinkling, the whole dress. It's like if you wear a straight cut crinkled indian skirt when you have broad hips and a big belly, except it's the whole body! The pleating is getting a little softer om it does't look so funny anymore, but when it was new and clung to my body it looked hilarious.
Well, I'm not to sure about the documentation for wholly pleated linen chainses anyway, but it was an experiment and the sleeves really are wonderful.
As soon as I can borrow my brother-in-law's digital camera and get the time to pose and write something about it I'll put some pictures on my web page, but it will probably take a couple of weeks.
