No baby, but the rest is better at least

The headline says it all almost. I've just had lunch after taking a short walk to buy some shiny, dark gold/yellow bias tape for my gold glittering hair net. It is made like a caul and the circular part is made from three layers. The gold fabric on top, heavy felted wool in the middle and straw coloured linen as lining. The wool will give it enough body to give it the rounded puffy shape of 16th century german hair nets/cauls. The circle is ca 40 cm in diameter and I have now almost finished beading it. It has a grid of white oblong and brown round "pearls" and now I'm putting light green and yellow glass beads in the middle of each square. Then I will attach the lining and gather it and sew it to the bias tape. I will probably put some beads on the bias tape too.
At least I have something to do. Later I will replant some of my plants and tomorrow I guess I'll have to come up with a new sewing project.
