So, I can't fall asleep because it hurts too much in the lower part of my belly. The contractions I get when standing up are stronger too, but not very frequent. I wish I could remember more from last time. I just know that I have been trying to sleep for three hours now and it hurts too much. It's 2.40 in the morning but I might take the risk of offending my neighbours by running a bath this late anyway. It might help.
Rickard is asleep and I won't wake him for a while yet. Unlike me he didn't have both a morning nap and an afternoon/evening nap.
I just wish I knew. It hurts way too much to sleep, but not enough to be sure.

I know, I just wish I would know now!! I don't want to feel this way if it's not making any progress anyway. Sigh!
Th blood show I didn't get until after ten hours of very painful contractions last time.

It drove me nuts that whole "you've already had a baby you should know" attitude. It's something that you do infrequently and it changes every time. How are you supposed to "know". I always had hospital births so I don't know what you can or can't do, but if you are really iffy can you just call your midwife and talk to her about it? It would be better to call and it be a false alarm than to not call and possibly have a basket case husband have to do the delivery. Don't know how your hubby is but mine would turn into a blubbering idiot just thinking about it.
