Shopping for my farthingale

I now have 25 metres of 6 mm hemp rope for my new farthingale. I chose rope instead of cane because sometimes I travel by train and need to be able to fit it into a backpack. Both are period choices anyway. The silk outer layer is sewn together and the wool lining is pinned together. Now I only need to decide which colour to use on the sewing silk for the channels. The silk has peacock blue warp and pink weft, so I guess I'll take one of those colours. The skirt is sewn together on machine, but the channels will be done by hand since they're visible.
