The heat is horrible, it was 33 C/91,4 F in the shades here today. But we're getting used to it. And maybe it wasn't more than 86 inside. Maybe. What I have more trouble getting used to is the pain I'm getting in my hips and back from walking strangely because of the broken toes. I took some opiate-based painkillers now and hopefully they will make me sleep well.
We went to see my dad today and he's not well at all. He has Wegener's Granulomatosis and he's on lot's of chemotherapy and cortisone right now and my dad who has always seemed so active and full of energy is suddenly old (he's 64). Of course, it was hot and he was also quite hung over since his birthday party the day before. But still, he begins to look like my grandad, his father. I know it's a part of getting older, to see you parents grow old, but I still don't like it. We had a nice walk outside by the lake (in the scorching heat) though and nice food and his wife told me about a big paper bag she has with lots of clothes patterns from the 60s and 70s that she is going to give to me a soon as she finds them.
The train trip both there and home was very nice, since the train had AC :)

Best wishes for your dad's recovery.

And ugh, being too hot sucks.
